Split a PDF

Split by range, every N pages, or one file per page. Multiple parts arrive as a single zip.

Your file never leaves your device — everything runs in your browser.

Split mode
One file per range you type, e.g. 1-3, 4-6.
Chops the document into equal parts.
Every page becomes its own PDF.

How splitting works on PDFlee

Choose a page range, a fixed chunk size (every N pages), or one file per page — the preview shows exactly which pages land in which part. Multiple output files download together as one zip.

The file is processed entirely in your browser and never uploaded — you can verify that in your browser's network tab. Free three times a day within the free limits (up to 3 files and 10 pages per file, 25 MB per job); bigger jobs cost 1–2 credits — never a subscription.

Can I split just one section out of a PDF?

Yes — use a page range like 3–7 to save exactly that section as its own PDF. For everything at once, split every N pages or one file per page.

How do I get the split results?

A single part downloads as a normal PDF; multiple parts arrive together as one zip so your downloads folder stays tidy.

Is my document uploaded to split it?

No. Splitting runs locally in your browser — the file never leaves your device, and you can confirm that in the network tab.
